Nordea bank presents a song by Martins Freimanis and Lejasstrazdi children for Christmas!

Christmas approaching, Martins Freimanis, the leader of Tumsa (Darkness) band and the children from Lejasstrazdi family support centre have made a record. The song named Tu esi viens no mums (You are one of us) appeared on the initiative of Nordea bank as a Christmas present for the children of Lejasstrazdu as well as for the employees, customers, partners of the bank and everyone else.

Musician Martins Freimanis, the author of the text and music of the song You are one of us ("Tu esi viens no mums"): “This song says that everybody, especially children, is the same and one of us whatever wrong happen in life. These children are great, some of them are very talented. I also had a rough childhood, and I know how good it is when somebody helps.”

Valdis Siksnis, the head of Nordea bank: “Nordea bank has been a friend of the family support centre Lejasstrazdi for more than five year by now. As good friends do, together we prepare special presents for Christmas. There is nothing more joyful than to receive a nice handmade present for Christmas!” In the past years, the children from Lejasstradi altogether with the photographer Valts Kleins prepared a photo calendar, painted bookmarks with the artist Kaspars Zarins, but before that did origami and learnt to draw at the animation studio A-Film.

Beginning November 28, the vocal presentations of the song by the children and Martins Freimanis and by the Nordea choir, its instrumental and acoustic versions are available for free listening and downloading online in the special holiday section of the Nordea bank website at www.nordea-info.lv/ziemassvetki/. The instrumental version of the song can also be downloaded as a mobile phone ringtone.

The song was recorded at Elko Studio, producer – Gints Stankevics.
