Nordea increases use of social networks in its communication and organizes a video conference

On 8th of June, 11:00 a.m. Nordea held an interactive video conference where the senior economist of Nordea Andris Strazds presented the latest economic survey „Baltic Rim Outlook”. Journalists, customers, cooperation partners and all parties concerned could watch the presentation online under www.nordea.lv/nordealive and ask A. Strazds any questions of concern online.

As an auxiliary tool to the traditional press conference, it is a convenient solution to journalists, experts and all parties concerned that follow the latest developments in economy and financial market. In addition to the presentation of A. Strazds, the participants will be available to watch the presentation online, post questions and participate in discussions by registering by means of their user’s name and password for Draugiem.lv, Twitter.com or Facebook.com.

Nordea in social media

Alongside with the growing numbers of users of social media in social networks, also Nordea is looking for possibilities of making communication with the Bank more accessible to its customers and cooperation partners. Nordea has created an account on the micro-blogging site Twitter.com and a channel on the video portal YouTube.com.

In the Twitter account „Nordea Latvija” every Twitter.com user can acquaint with the latest information concerning the bank and also post questions of interest. The video channel on youtube.com provides access to various videos pertaining to the bank, e.g. promotional materials, videos from press conferences and TV broadcasts about Nordea. In the future Nordea is looking forward to expand use of the possibilities provided by social media communication.
