Index-linked bonds „Development of China” have gained wide responsiveness of the clients

Proposal of the bond ”Development of China” linked to Nordea index in March, with investments in the world’s leading 12 enterprises, has caused wide interest of the clients. The number of the clients’ applications, in comparison with a similar proposal in the previous year, has quintupled and has reached a record amount of investment sums. Even though investments may begin with a sum of 1000 euros, a Nordea client has invested an average sum of 7000 euros.

Our clients’ interest about this alternative type of investment, as opposed to the classical deposit, has exceeded the previous proposal of Nordea - whereby profitability of the investment was linked to development of a region in China - for five times. The main advantages of the index-linked bonds are the high potential profit opportunities, a guaranteed principal amount that shall be returned to the clients at the end of the term, irrespective of the market growth, as well as a possibility to follow the current price of the bonds on the webpage of the bank, and prematurely, without any additional costs to purchase the bonds at a favourable moment, by fixing the preferable profit.

Until 31 March Nordea offers its clients to apply for a new proposal of the index-linked bonds ”The Victory Walk”. This proposal is linked to indexes of 4 different regions, which are not represented in equal parts this time. All the regions – China, Russia, the USA and the Eurozone – are unified in the most favourable way, by bringing forward the most successful regions and thus offering a larger profit at the end of the term. Even the most conservative forecast of Nordea for each of the regions indicates that the index-linked bonds ”The Victory Walk” give an opportunity of profit of at least 3,3% per year.

The clients investing both in a time deposit, as well as in the index-linked bonds, will receive a remarkable increase of interest rate - up to 2% - for the chosen time deposit.
