Within the framework of the e-Skills Week training on the use of Netbank and Mobile Netbank to be provided at Nordea’s regional customer service units

Nordea Bank has responded to the European Union’s initiative to promote, within the framework of the e-Skills Week, information and communication technology services.

On Tuesday, 2 March, in regional customer service units of Nordea Bank in the Latvia's largest cities of Jelgava, Ventspils, Liepāja, Sigulda, Valmiera, Daugavpils and Rēzekne, during the whole day everyone will have the possibility to receive consultations and practical training on the use of the Netbank and the Mobile Netbank in the performance of daily bank settlements.

The e-Skills Week will take place in all European Union Member States from 2 to 5 March. It will be organised in Latvia for the first time. This week is organised with the aim to promote innovation in the process of learning and education, as well as facilitate information and communication technology (ICT) services.

Antra Bergmane, Deputy Head of Retail of Nordea Bank: “Nowadays practically all bank settlements can be performed remotely by using internet banking. For this purpose a computer or a mobile phone with an internet connection is necessary. Although during the last year the number of users of Nordea Bank's Netbank in Latvia has doubled, we still face stereotypes and suspicions regarding remote settlements. On the e-Skills days we want to show that the use of internet banking for the performance of bank settlements is simple and easy."

On 2 March during the whole day in Nordea Bank’s customer service units the Latvia's largest cities of Jelgava, Ventspils, Liepāja, Sigulda, Valmiera, Daugavpils and Rēzekne, we invite all who are interested to consultations and practical training.  Especially welcome are groups of pupils that should notify of their participation in advance by phone: 67 096 096.

The e-Skills Week in Latvia is organised by the Latvian Information and Communications Technology Associations (LIKTA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Regional Development and Local Government Matters (RAPLM). Fore more information see: www.likta.lv.
