Nordea Business School "From Idea to Investor" completes its fourth training season
The event "Randevue With Investor" marked the end of the fourth season of Nordea Business School "From Idea to Investor". After six months of training, 30 new entrepreneurs presented their business ideas to a wider audience, including investors and business angels. In this season, the new entrepreneurs had the opportunity to obtain knowledge required for starting a successful business in cooperation with 26 partners leading Latvian business consulting enterprises, mentoring and coaching organizations and professional experts.
Kristīne Lomanovska, the Head of Nordea Business School: "As in previous years, also in this season there were almost 400 applications of ideas submitted and from them those new entrepreneurs were admitted to the training programme who had not only creative and interesting business ideas, but who also succeeded in convincing about the importance of the training programme in further development of their business. I am satisfied with the originality and creativity of this season's business ideas in the areas of information technology, production, food processing and services."
"Having followed the business ideas and the final presentations organized by Nordea Business School, where the new enterprises present themselves and their ideas to the potential investors, I have noticed an improving trend in both the quality of the business ideas and the competences of new entrepreneurs. Being aware that investors are also willing to invest in promising business ideas, this programme is the right place to look for such ideas," says Juris Grišins, Latvian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, Member of the Board
Mārtiņš Bratuškins, author of the Classnote App: "By starting training at the Nordea Business School our team, which had already started the development of a new product, i.e,a student focused application for taking notes, has made a step forward and now the beta version of the application is already available for public use. The wide range of skills obtained has definitely ensured a great take-off and provided the needed support."
"A major benefit stemming from such training is the opportunity to meet people who this in similar way, the new entrepreneurs who are in a similar situation. I believe people must be the real investment target to be invested in," shares his point Oskars Mickevičs, the author of the Velo Sock idea.
