Card aquiring service on internet

By applying for the card acquiring service, you can receive the services necessary for your Internet store and pay the bills in cooperation with Nordea Bank.

Nordea Bank ensures:

• acceptance of all types of MasterCard, Maestro, VISA and VISA Electron cards,
• high level of security in conformity to the security requirements set by 3D Secure;
• transfer of payments for purchases to the corporate account within 2 working days.

Nordea ensures the acceptance of payment cards in lats (LVL) as a means of payment on the customer’s Internet site. The solution is offered in cooperation with the card payment processing company “First Data Latvia” Customers have the possibility to accept VISA, Visa Electron, MasterCard or Maestro cards issued by any bank.  The commission fee for this service equals to a certain percentage of the total volume of transactions with cards, this percentage being determined taking into account the customer’s transaction volumes and transaction risks.

Connection to the service

Prior to connection to the service, the customer has to agree with the Bank on the service fees. A provisional fee can be obtained by sending a completed abridged application form to the e-mail address: cm@nordea.com. After receiving the form you will be contacted by a Bank’s specialist. If the Customer agrees to the offered fee, he or she will have to arrive at a Nordea customer service centre to complete the full application form and to conclude an agreement on the use of the service and open an account if not already opened.

After signing the agreement with the Bank the customer will have to conclude a contract with SIA “First Data Latvia” on the introduction of the technical solution and agree on the necessary system tests. Alongside, the Bank shall perform the registration of the customer with the VISA and MasterCard systems. After successful tests the customer can start accepting card transactions on its Internet site.

In order to start using the service, it is necessary to:

• conclude an agreement;
• in case you are not a customer of Nordea yet you need to open an account with Nordea Bank bringing with you the registration certificate, passport copies of persons with signatory authority and a copy of Statutes.
